Our house is occupied since its building in 1884 by the same family that is to say 5 generations. It's a typical house from the Quercy with a "bolet" a balcony along the main facade with gives the main access to the house. The cellars were used as wine cellars by this wine growers family who even sold his wine for Paris cabarets.
The glass wall on the left of the picture called "Cuvier" was used to run down the grape buckets. It's time now for us to
restore this heritage. By staying in our house, you'll contribute to preserve this heritage, thank you so much.
We started the renovation works in 2008 and moved in two years later with our son Alexis. The stopover gite opened in 2012. And then it aw the turn of our daughter, Angèle, to showed up !
Now that the house is restored, the renovation continue in the farmyard withhopefully soon the roof of the barn.
The part of our house dedicated to our guests extends over 120 m2 on two levels. Bedrooms are spacious, more than 20m2 each one. Eveything revolve around a main living room that we wanted the most welcoming and handy possible. So you'll find a little library with tourist guides about the region but also novels and children's books. There is a tv corner with a dvd player, dvds, coloring pages for kids and board games for young and old. The kitchenette available for free will be useful to make a tea, a coffee, a fresh drink or a meal. This living room with its huge table for 10 people is the place where we like to chat with our guests.
I will be your host, hospitable and attentive. But I'm also a professional tourist guide for more than 20 years so if you are interested in a guided tour of Rocamadour, Martel, Collonges la Rouge..., a guided hike or a unique visit in order to make the most of the assets of our region.
